Launch Africa Invests in Lounges.tv to Build Creator Monetisation Infrastructure Across Africa

London / Africa — Lounges.tv, the global live streaming and creator monetisation platform, has secured investment from Launch Africa Ventures to expand creator infrastructure across Africa.

The investment addresses a critical gap in African creator economy infrastructure: artists, promoters, and venues currently lack reliable tools to monetise digital audiences. Lounges.tv enables ticketed live streaming for sold-out or capacity-limited events, converting physical venue constraints into digital revenue opportunities.

Built on a creator-first model, the platform allows partners to retain 80% of ticket revenue, paid within 24 hours of the event, offering fast, transparent, and fair monetisation. Lounges.tv has streamed thousands of live events across music, sport, and entertainment and is committed to championing creators from across the globe.

Initial African focus markets include South Africa, Nigeria, and Ghana, with expansion planned across the continent. Through the partnership, the companies will establish collaborations with venues, sports organizations, and digital creators to build out monetisation infrastructure.

Lounges.tv has already worked with thousands of creators and high-profile artists, including Nile Rodgers and Jamiroquai. In March, the platform will stream Sarkodie — Ghana’s biggest rap artist and one of Africa’s most awarded musicians — live from his sold-out London show.

Lounges.tv shareholders include entertainment executive Simon Cowell.

Scott Green, CEO & Co-Founder of Lounges.tv, said:

"Africa represents significant opportunity for creator monetisation infrastructure. The continent has strong live entertainment markets but limited digital tools for creators to capture revenue beyond physical venues.

Our mission is simple: no sold-out event should leave digital revenue on the table. We provide the infrastructure for creators to monetise global audiences while maintaining ownership of their relationship with fans. Launch Africa's network and market understanding position us to execute this effectively."

Janade Du Plessis, Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Launch Africa Ventures, added:

"African live entertainment is experiencing growth, but monetisation infrastructure lags significantly. Artists and venues need tools to capture digital revenue without sacrificing audience ownership to platforms.

Lounges.tv addresses this through transparent economics and by positioning creators as platform owners rather than suppliers. This infrastructure gap represents substantial opportunity across our target markets."

The African expansion forms part of Lounges.tv’s broader international growth strategy.
