<p>One day before my fight at York Hall, my final pads session. Throughout, I was trained by Louie Curry and Ryan Barrett, the former welterweight world champ. For those who have been through this process, there is nothing more sobering than going into the ring for your first fight..... I had trouble sleeping weeks out, right up until this session. Steve spoke to me and said he had studied the video of my opponent, who was shorter than me. I hadn't sparred with anyone shorter than myself. Steve gave me a simple plan, that included just four things.... that night I slept soundly for the first time in weeks!   </p>
