Simthembile Kebenzane,known as GIEY_rsa a native of Cape Town's vibrant Khayelitsha
community. My journey into the world of music kicked off in 2020, marking the beginning of a
thrilling and ever-evolving career.
What sets my story apart is the early start. At the remarkably young age of 15, I delved into the world of sound engineering. This experience not only honed my skills but also laid a strong
foundation for my future in the music industry.
One of the defining moments in my journey was the incredible recognition I received at the
MAMA Awards. Not just once, but twice! I was honored as the "Best Upcoming Hip-Hop
Artist," a true testament to my rising presence in the music scene.
Collaboration has always been at the heart of my work. I've had the privilege of working
alongside some of Cape Town's brightest stars, including Hlasela Da Bull, Procxhlde, So Deno,
Blaqshade, and Bravo Le Roux. These collaborations have not only expanded my musical
horizons but have also been pivotal in my growth as an artist.
