<p>WWII veteran Charles Clarke describes his RAF training.</p><p><br></p><p>Charles Clarke (November 1923 - May 2019) joined the Royal Air Force in 1941 and served until 1978, having reached the rank of Air Commodore. </p><p><br></p><p>Here he describes when his 619 Squadron Lancaster bomber was shot down in February 1944, his eventual capture by German troops and being sent to Stalag Luft III.
