Charity single ‘Proud’ first popularised by Susan Boyle, is Sam’s latest venture in her quest to ‘give something back’. Although her own story includes more than a fair share of personal tragedy, including medical negligence, infant death and suicide. ‘When doctors removed my mum’s life support, I climbed into her hospital bed, wrapped her arms around me and sang to her. My parting words to her were “one day I’ll make you proud” and from that day forward I have set out to do just that’.
