In her twenties, Mary McGuire met the love of her life. Both working at the same hotel, management gave them an ultimatum., either split up or one of them has to quit. Why? Because they were two women. Meeting her partner was a life-defining moment for Mary, and no matter how much shame was made to feel, she wouldn’t walk away from love. Being excluded is really difficult, you question everything. If I don’t fit in, then where do I fit in? It can be incredibly isolating as you feel all eyes are on you for not conforming or doing acceptable things. It’s not the challenge in life, it’s how you get over the challenge. What is there beyond this challenge that you can get to by growing into it? We are all here to live the fullest expression of who we are, and to find our tribe.&nbsp;There are two roads, the one more travelled where we conform to others’ expectations to fit in and be understood, or the road less travelled… and the latter can be eye-opening and filled with fulfilling and purposeful possibilities.
